The Haunted Alveston Manor Hotel
Clopton Bridge, Stratford-upon-Avon CV37 7HP
You’ll find the Alveston Manor Hotel along Banbury Road in the Warwickshire medieval market town of Stratford-upon-Avon.
The Grade II listed building dates back to the 15th century when it originally started life off as a house.
It’s said that the manor was the location of the first performance of Shakespeare’s ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’!
The hotel is said to be haunted by the ghost of a girl who died at a party during the Edwardian period.
Her ghost is said to sometimes appear to shocked guests in their bedrooms.
On one occasion a guest staying in Room 10 awoke to see a ghostly figure staring at him.
He described the ghostly figure as being a young man with shoulder length wavy hair and wearing half-moon spectacles.
The figure vanished into the darkness of the room after a couple of minutes.Click Here to Stay in the Alveston Manor Hotel
