The Haunted Chiseldon House Hotel
New Road, Chiseldon SN4 0LX
You’ll find the Chiseldon House Hotel along New Road in the Wiltshire village of Chiseldon.
The Grade II listed building dates back to 1840 when it was first built as a home by a wealthy farmer called William Ruddle Browne.
The house was used as a home up until 1964.
Today it’s been converted into a country house hotel and restaurant.
And has a ghostly tale to tell…
In 1995 a local newspaper reported that a poltergeist haunted the historic hotel for five years.
Spooked members of staff reported that the ghost moved pictures and created a loud noise in the downstairs kitchen which sounded like a cannon being fired!Click Here to Stay in the Chiseldon House Hotel
