Haunted: The Cutter Hotel, Weymouth, Dorset

| On 15, Nov 2017

The Haunting of the Cutter Hotel

You’ll find the Cutter Hotel situated along East Street in the Dorset coastal town of Weymouth.

The Grade II listed building dates back to the early 19th century.

The rear room of the hotel is said to be haunted by a ghostly woman.

Customers who’ve witness her sitting at the bar, describe her as having blonde hair and being very attractive.

Nobody knows exactly who the mysterious blonde woman is as there’s no records of any female deaths happening at the property.

The hotel is said to have another ghostly woman haunting it, this time its an elderly woman.

Witnesses describe her as having grey hair tied in a bun and wearing a dark shawl.

Her ghostly apparition has been seen walking through the building and out of the side door onto St Alban Street.

As well as sitting in the rear bar smoking a clay pipe!

The cellar of the hotel is also said to be haunted as staff members have complained that the beer taps would mysteriously be turned off and beer barrels would be moved around by somebody unknown.

A former landlord once reported that one day whilst he was hanging half-way out of the upstairs bathroom window, which he was painting at the time, somebody invisible gave him a firm push so hard that he had to drop his brush and paint pot and hold onto the window frame to stop himself from falling!
