The Deans Place Hotel is a 14th century country house hotel situated in the quaint South Downs village of Alfriston.
Deans Place was originally an important moated manor house back in the Tudor times.
The hotel has a reputation for being haunted by a lady in a blue silk dress…
Many members of staff and guests alike have been scared witless after seeing the ghostly apparition of the Lady in Blue.
She was first witnessed just after some renovations were made to the hotel when a skeleton was found under the floorboards.
Some say she was a murder victim who was killed at Deans Place!
The Lady in Blue isn’t the only ghost to be witnessed at the hotel…

Lots of paranormal groups have investigated Jamaica Inn coming to the conclusion that the most active parts of the inn are the Smugglers Bar, the Restaurant, the Stable Bar and Bedroom 4.
Witnesses have also reported hearing the sound of a phantom coach and horses drawing up outside the inn in the middle of the night.
Visitors to Jamaica Inn have reported seeing the ghostly apparition of a man dressed in a cloak and a hat.
Apparently, he suddenly appears and then disappears through solid closed doors.
