The Haunting of the Duke of Albany

You’ll find the Duke of Albany pub situated along Park Street in the Dorset seaside town of Weymouth.

The Grade II listed pub dates back to the early 19th century.

The pub is reputed to be haunted with witnesses seeing glasses lift themselves off their shelf, hover in mid-air and then return back to their shelf.

Other glasses have also been seen to gently rise from their shelf and lower themselves to the ground as though somebody invisible has lifted them off the shelf and put them on the floor.

Sudden temperature drops have been reported in the bar, snug and rear storeroom areas.

Beer pumps would mysteriously run dry and gases would be turned off by somebody unknown.

It’s believed that the pub is haunted by the spirit of a former landlady who’s not happy with the beer that’s being served by the present landlord!
