The Haunted Gosforth Hall Hotel

Off the Wasdale Road in the village of Gosforth you’ll find the Gosforth Hall Hotel.
The hall was built in 1658 by a local gentleman called Robert Copley.
The hotel is reputed to have the odd ghost or two knocking about the place…
The most witnessed ghost at the hotel is that of a monk or friar.
His ghostly apparition has been seen by terrified witnesses floating along the hotel’s corridors in the middle of the night.
He’s also believed to be responsible for the poltergeist activity which takes place in the kitchen!

Lots of paranormal groups have investigated Jamaica Inn coming to the conclusion that the most active parts of the inn are the Smugglers Bar, the Restaurant, the Stable Bar and Bedroom 4.
Witnesses have also reported hearing the sound of a phantom coach and horses drawing up outside the inn in the middle of the night.
Visitors to Jamaica Inn have reported seeing the ghostly apparition of a man dressed in a cloak and a hat.
Apparently, he suddenly appears and then disappears through solid closed doors.
