The Haunted Iron Duke Hotel
3 Waterloo Street, Hove BN3 1AQ
The Iron Duke Hotel dates back to 1828 when it was first called the Kerrison Arms after Sir Edward Kerrison.
The hotel is said to be connected to St Andrews Church opposite it by a secret tunnel which in Victorian times was used by distinguished members of society to enter the hotel for a drink after church services!
A ghostly man and his phantom dog are said to wander around the Iron Duke Hotel.
His apparition has been seen in the bar area as well as on the upper floors of the building.
An apparition of a woman has been witnessed by spooked guests in both Room 2 and Room 5.
And the hotel’s cellar is said to be haunted by the spirit of an angry man!
The hotel cleaner was scared witless one day when she saw the ghostly apparition of a young girl on the back staircase.Click Here to Stay in the Iron Duke Hotel
