The Haunted Iron Duke Hotel

You’ll find the Iron Duke Hotel along Waterloo Street in the East Sussex seaside town of Hove.
The Iron Duke Hotel dates back to 1828 when it was first called the Kerrison Arms after Sir Edward Kerrison.
The hotel is said to be connected to St Andrews Church opposite it by a secret tunnel which in Victorian times was used by distinguished members of society to enter the hotel for a drink after church services!
A ghostly man and his phantom dog are said to wander around the Iron Duke Hotel.
His apparition has been seen in the bar area as well as on the upper floors of the building.
An apparition of a woman has been witnessed by spooked guests in both Room 2 and Room 5.
And the hotel’s cellar is said to be haunted by the spirit of an angry man!

Lots of paranormal groups have investigated Jamaica Inn coming to the conclusion that the most active parts of the inn are the Smugglers Bar, the Restaurant, the Stable Bar and Bedroom 4.
Witnesses have also reported hearing the sound of a phantom coach and horses drawing up outside the inn in the middle of the night.
Visitors to Jamaica Inn have reported seeing the ghostly apparition of a man dressed in a cloak and a hat.
Apparently, he suddenly appears and then disappears through solid closed doors.
