The Haunted King’s Lodge Hotel
28 Bridge Road, Sarratt, Kings Langley WD4 8RF
Along Hunton Bridge Hill in the historic village of Kings Langley you’ll find the 17th century King’s Lodge Hotel.
The hotel was originally a hunting lodge used by Charles I, hence the name!
In the hotel’s cellar are the remains of an underground passageway which was said to lead to a nearby house where the lover of Charles II, Nell Gwynne resided.
In the 1980s, the landlady of the hotel called in a medium to try and explain what was causing the ghostly knockings and other spooky goings-on taking place within the building…
The medium said the paranormal activity was caused by the ghost of a lady called Jenny who was buried somewhere within the hotel!
