The Lion Hotel is situated in Wyle Cop in the historic town of Shrewsbury.
The hotel dates back to the 16th century when it started life out as a coaching inn.
The hotel is reputed to be haunted by many ghosts the most infamous being the Grey Lady…
She’s said to haunt the Adam Ballroom.
Terrified witnesses have seen an English Civil War uniformed soldier in the Tudor bar area of the hotel.
And an apparition of a Victorian lady in a powder blue dress has been seen at the bottom of the hotel’s stairs as if she’s waiting for someone!

Lots of paranormal groups have investigated Jamaica Inn coming to the conclusion that the most active parts of the inn are the Smugglers Bar, the Restaurant, the Stable Bar and Bedroom 4.
Witnesses have also reported hearing the sound of a phantom coach and horses drawing up outside the inn in the middle of the night.
Visitors to Jamaica Inn have reported seeing the ghostly apparition of a man dressed in a cloak and a hat.
Apparently, he suddenly appears and then disappears through solid closed doors.
