The Haunting of Love Lane

You’ll find Weymouth’s Love Lane connecting High West Street and Franchise Street.

The lane dates back to the early 17th century.

In the mid-1970s a local man reported seeing on a couple of occasions a pretty young woman who as she passed him disappeared into thin air.

The young woman seemed odd to him as she was wearing clothing from a decade before consisting of a knee length skirt and a sleeveless fitted top.

She had dark hair that was cut into a short bob which style was very fashionable in the 1960s!
