You’ll find the historic Mercure Madeley Court Hotel situated along Castlefields Way in the new town of Telford.
The stunning manor house dates back to the 16th century.
With such an old building you probably wouldn’t be too surprised if I told you that the hotel had the odd ghost or two knocking about the place…
The ghostly apparition of a hooded monk is often seen by terrified witnesses wandering the grounds of the hotel.
Spooky spirits of Victorian maids going about their daily duties have also been seen on the top floor of the hotel.
Another ghost to be seen at the hotel is that of an old woman.
Apparently, she smiles at you before vanishing into thin air!
Spooked guests have also reported hearing the chilling sounds of a woman in pain in the surrounding gardens…
Of course, upon investigation no woman is every found!

Lots of paranormal groups have investigated Jamaica Inn coming to the conclusion that the most active parts of the inn are the Smugglers Bar, the Restaurant, the Stable Bar and Bedroom 4.
Witnesses have also reported hearing the sound of a phantom coach and horses drawing up outside the inn in the middle of the night.
Visitors to Jamaica Inn have reported seeing the ghostly apparition of a man dressed in a cloak and a hat.
Apparently, he suddenly appears and then disappears through solid closed doors.
