The Haunted Manor House Hotel
High Street, Moreton-in-Marsh GL56 0LJ
You’ll find the Manor House Hotel along the High Street in the middle of the Cotswold town of Moreton-in-Marsh.
The Manor House Hotel dates back to the 16th century and is said to be probably the most haunted building in the town.
Before the Second World War it was actually called Creswyke House and was owned by the Creswyke family for well over a hundred years until 1752.
It was then bought at a knock down price by a businessman called Benjamin Busby because it was haunted!
It’s said that at the end of the 17th century Dame Creswyke was murdered in the house and her ghost now haunts the building.
If you want a haunted night at the hotel stay in Room 8 as this is said to be the bedroom which she likes to haunt the most.
Saying that, the last sighting of her ghostly apparition in 1987 was actually outside the hotel!Click Here to Stay in the Manor House Hotel
