Along Market Street in the little market town of Ashby-de-la-Zouch you’ll find the Queen’s Head Hotel.

The Queen’s Head Hotel is an old black-and-white beamed three-story coaching inn which dates back to the 17th century.

With such a long history you probably won’t be too surprised if I told you that this old coaching inn has a reputation for being haunted…

Phantom voices and apparitions of little children have been witnessed in the hotel.

But what really spooks the Queen’s Head’s members of staff is the ghostly tall man dressed in dark clothing.

Terrified members of staff who have mistaken him as being a guest get the shock of their lives when he disappears into thin air right in front of them!

To tell you the truth, they really don’t like him…

They say he gives off a presence of evil!

Lots of paranormal groups have investigated Jamaica Inn coming to the conclusion that the most active parts of the inn are the Smugglers Bar, the Restaurant, the Stable Bar and Bedroom 4.

Witnesses have also reported hearing the sound of a phantom coach and horses drawing up outside the inn in the middle of the night.

Visitors to Jamaica Inn have reported seeing the ghostly apparition of a man dressed in a cloak and a hat.

Apparently, he suddenly appears and then disappears through solid closed doors.
