The Haunted Scotsman Hotel
20 North Bridge, Edinburgh EH1 1TR
You’ll find the Scotsman Hotel along North Bridge in the Scottish capital city of Edinburgh.
The Category A listed building dates back to 1905 when it started life out as the home of the Scotsman newspaper.
The Edwardian building remained the home of the Scotsman newspaper for nearly a century.
It was converted into the Scotsman Hotel in 2001 after the newspaper moved to new purpose built offices in Holyrood.
The hotel is reputed to be haunted by many ghosts from the time when it housed the Scotsman newspaper…
Spooked members of staff have reported seeing a ghostly apparition of a man walking around the hotel’s basement.
They describe him as wearing an apron and carrying a tray of metal blocks used for printing.
He’s believed to be the ghost of a former printer who once worked for the newspaper.
The former reception area is said to be haunted by a ghostly woman.
Witnesses describe her as being dressed in black clothing.
Some say the building is also haunted by the ghost of a forger!Click Here to Stay in the Scotsman Hotel
