135 High Street, Lewes BN7 1XS
Along Lewes’ High Street you’ll find the historic Shelley’s Hotel.
The oldest part of the hotel dates back to the Tudor times.
Parts of the hotel are said to be haunted, in particular Room 26 which is believed to be haunted by a suicide victim from the 1930s.
In 1978, a QC who was staying in the room was scared witless when his bed levitated three inches off the floor.
Since his stay, poltergeist activity has been reported to take place within the room.
Chairs have move on their own accord whilst ashtrays and coat hangers had been flung across the room by something unknown!Click Here to Stay at the Shelley’s Hotel
