The Haunted Station Hotel
Castle Hill, Dudley DY1 4RA
On Castle Hill in Dudley you’ll find the Station Hotel.
The Station Hotel was first opened back in 1898.
In its heydays, it was located across the street to the Opera House.
When the Opera House sadly burnt down the Dudley Hippodrome was built in its place.
During this time, the Station Hotel was a popular place to stay for performing artists.
It’s said that in the early 1900s the manager of the hotel murdered a young maid in the cellar and deposed of her body in a beer barrel!
With such a long eventful history and also a murder story flung in for good measures, you probably won’t be too surprised to discover that the hotel has a reputation for being haunted.
So much so, that in 2003 the team from the paranormal TV show Most Haunted investigated it.
The cellar is said to be haunted by a lady in a Victorian dress.
Members of staff are regularly being spooked by finding that the heavy beer barrels have moved on their own accord.
The ghostly apparition of an elderly gentleman dressed in black has been seen sitting at one of the hotels dining tables.
More frightening for the hotel’s members of staff are the occurrences of knifes being thrown at them by an unknown entity in the Dining Room!
Rooms 213 to 217 at the hotel are said to be haunted by a ghostly apparition of a lady in white…
Now, if you want a ghostly experience, stay the night in the infamous Room 214!Click Here to Stay in the Station Hotel
