The timber-framed hotel dates back to the 1500s when it started life out as a medieval merchant’s house.
The hotel is said to be haunted by quite a few ghosts!
Room 7, the back bar and the restaurant are all known for their paranormal activity.
Terrified witnesses have seen the ghostly apparition of a grey lady in the hotel’s restaurant.
It’s said that she’s the ghost of a bride who was shockingly stabbed to death in the hotel by her newly wedded husband.
Phantom footsteps are also heard throughout the hotel on quiet nights!
