The Haunted White Hart Inn
Market End, Coggeshall CO6 1NH
The timber-framed 15th century White Hart Hotel situated on Market End in Coggeshall is said to be haunted.
The oldest part of the White Hart Inn was once the Guildhall but is now the resident’s lounge in the hotel.
It’s this area which is said to be the most haunted part of the hotel.
The identity of ghost at the White Hart Hotel is a bit of a mystery…
Nobody really knows who, what or even whether it’s male or female!
One thing for certain, paranormal activity does occur at the hotel.
Sudden unexplained drops in temperature, unknown ghostly sounds, TVs being turned on and off on their own accord, objects being mysteriously moved and the feeling of being watched have all been reported by both members of staff and visitors alike.
Apparently, a lot of paranormal activity is said to take place in room 5 of the hotel!
