The Hauntings of the Winchester Discovery Centre
You’ll find the Winchester Discovery Centre situated in the former Corn Exchange along Jewry Street.
The building dates back to 1838 and over the years it not only has been used as a Corn Exchange but also a dance hall, roller skating rink, theatre, cinema and today a discovery centre which houses a library, exhibition space, art gallery, performance hall, café and shop.
AMBERLY CASTLE: A Haunted Castle You Can Actually Stay the Night In!
The Grade I listed 12th century Amberley Castle Hotel is located in the picturesque village of Amberley.
Today, the castle has been transferred into an amazing luxury hotel.
It's said to be haunted by the ghost of a young girl called Emily who committed suicide at the castle.
Her ghostly apparition has been seen by terrified witnesses in and around the Herstmonceux room!
The building has a couple of ghostly tales to tell…
One of the librarians reported hearing eerie operatic singing when she entered the vaulted basement one day.
And a spooked caretaker reported hearing phantom footsteps walking around the mezzanine balcony during one early morning in the 1990s!
