How to Wrap Up an Investigation?

Over the last couple of posts I’ve discussed with you how to conduct the first and second sessions of a ghost hunting investigation, well today I going to tell you how to wrap up your investigation.

Most ghost hunting investigation groups will continue to run lockdowns and walkabout alternatively through their investigation until they feel that they have got all the evidence they need.

It’s up to you how long you run your investigation for, some groups will go through the night and some will only investigate for only a couple of hours. As a rule of thumb, most paranormal groups do not run their investigation for more than four hours unless they are getting a lot of activity.

One thing to remember when it comes to the length of your investigation… the longer you run it for, the more reviewing you will have to do!

When you decide to call it a night, clear each area one by one and then do a final walkthrough checking all the location just in case you have left something behind. Remember to respect the location and its owners, clear up all rubbish, used gaffer tape and remove blue-tack deposits.

Log sheets, tapes and memory cards should all be handed in to the team leader.

When leaving the location, make sure you leave quietly especially if the location is in a residential area.

So there you have it, how to wrap up a ghost hunting investigation.
